Poor flush, 1.6 Gallon flapper, old toilet and a thanks

I need to thank someone and I don't remember who. Both our toilets have been flushing poorly recently, especially when solids were involved.

I read a number of posts here and discovered if I held the handle down until the bowl cleared everything seemed ok. It got me wondering if I'd gotten some special dual-flush flapper. Off to Lowes I went and saw the flappers I had installed on the toilets not too long ago... 1.6 Gallon flappers. Small problem, we don't have 1.6 gallon toilets! D'oh!

2 new proper flappers later all is right in the world.

Thank you to whomever posted all the posts about flappers, dual-flush bowls and slow toilets. Once again this site is worth well more than I pay. Um, since we don't pay for all the great advice, let's just say it's worth a whole lot!
