Pool motor noisy

I was told bearings are no good by pool inspector. He suggested replacing with Pentair VSPump but I only have 110 and this needs 220. First, what brand would save elec., run on 110, and can be replaced by homeowner? 2nd, What other brand options do we have and if installed professionally, about how much will it be? 3rd, are we able to repair this motor? It's less than 8 years old.

Bearrings would be less then $20.00.
Take the motor apart and remove the bearings. On the outside race will be etched letters and numbers. Any bearing house should have them.
Just look under bearings in the yellow pages.
