Plumbing submersible well pump
I am installing a Gould 1.5 HP submersible motor and pump assembly to upgrade my irrigation system and the pump is stainless steel with the discharge end of the pump bneing 1-1/4" Female NPT. Is it ok to use a brass 1-1/4" male connector with a barbed end to tie into the poly pipe from the pump or should I use a schedule 80 PVC fitting or try to find a stainless steel fitting? I don't know if electrolysis occurs under water or not between the different metals. The Sch 80 fitting looks to be strong enough to hold the 100' of 1-1/4" poly pipe since I will be utilizing a safety rope to the top of the well seal cap from the pump. What are your thoughts?
