plumbing/septic tank connection for adding a second bathroom
We are adding an addition which will include a second bathroom. In order to connect to the existing plumbing which carries the waste out to the septic tank, will mean a major tear up (existing bathroom is in opposite end of the house).
Our builder says he can take the new plumbing pipes/drain pipes etc., out of the house by the new bathroom, run them underground and then hook into the spetic tank outside of the house. Can he do this?
Yep. Whichever hookup (into the existing main drain line or directly to the tank) is easiest and cheapest and allows for the 1/4" per linear foot drop. Sounds like the direct line to the tank would certainly be it.
