Last year my wife and I purchased a home that has a in-ground pool along with a Cabana that houses an outdoor shower, toilet as well as sink. Last year everything went fine after I de-winterized it and we used it all year with no problems.
For some reason this season when I opened it up at the same time that I opened up our pool, I noticed that it appears that the water doesn't hold the prime, and when we do run the water, we have to wait for what feels like a couple of minutes to get the water flowing from our house, and when it does come, you can hear the pipes shaking in our furnace room.
For reference we only have a cold water line coming out to the cabana and then have a Point of contact mini hot water heater in the cabana.
"I noticed that it appears that the water doesn't hold the prime,..."
I don't know what this means? Are you on a well?
Either way, if you've good water pressure in the house and little in the cabana then possibly:
1. A valve is not open all the way between house line and your cabana, and/or,
2. You've a leak in the line to the cabana, and/or,
3. Obstruction in the line or the fixture in the cabana (have you cleaned the aerator in the faucet?).
