Plumbing on exterior wall?
Hey everyone,
Brand new to the site, and I have quick question.
I'm currently remodelling my basement and am making good progress, but my bathroom keeps holding me up. There was an existing bathroom in the place, but we wanted to change some things around. Our current setup has the toilet and sink up against the exterior basement wall. I want to re-do the wall behind them, and I want to insulate it. Will this cause the plumbing behind them (which would have to run inside that exterior wall) to freeze?
I am in a cold climate (the Canadian prairies) and would rather not have my pipes freeze. On the other hand, I'd rather not smash cement in order to move the toilet drain.
Can I run water lines in an exterior basement wall?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
