Pipe threading problems

Hi, I've used pipe threading machines in the past and didnt have this problem. I am using an elbow grease threader and the threads are getting broken off leaving a mess of a thread. some worse than others. I'm putting in a new gas line and dont have access to that nice threading machine and dont want to take chances with these threads.

thanks in advance,

mike

Check that your cutters are in the right order. They are numbered, and will do exactly what you described if they are not in the right order.

You either have some of the junk pipe or your dies are dull.
