I've lived in a new construction high-rise for the past 5 years and have never had any problems until a year ago when a horrible rattling sound started in the wall behind my fridge (). It doesn't sound like it's coming from right behind the fridge, but about 12 feet up near the ceiling (my ceilings are about 13 feet).
I asked the engineer in my building to check it out when the problem first started and he noticed a noise coming from one of the HVAC vents in the hall, so by turning off a booster fan he was able to make the rattling sound stop.
Unfortunately, the rattling sound keeps starting back up because they always insist on starting the booster back up. An HVAC expert came out and didn't see anything wrong with the HVAC, so they basically tell me I'm out of luck.
. Is this a pipe vibrating? Could high water pressure be causing it?
Thanks for your help and sorry for typing so much.
