To PEX or Not

Currently my home is plumbed with CPVC. Im going to be adding some fixtures in the basement.

PEX seems like I will have less joints and quicker. My concern is converting from CPVC to PEX. I see a lot of information about the sharkbite but would rather use a solvent weld like http://www.siouxchief.com/Supply/Fit...-Adapter.7X8VK to convert. Unfortunately I cannot find these locally. Should I just go with the sharkbite or get a solvent weld converter or just stick with cpvc?

If this were my project I would remove all the CPVC I could cuz I can't stand the stuff. But you should find the solvent fittings if you can. Try plumbing supply houses or buy them online. I'm not a fan of sharkbites either but thats my opinion. I've always found a way around them
