PEX line for Air?

I realize that airbrushing uses lower pressures than many other compressor projects, but, I would not use ANY plastic pipe for air. Should it fail, there will be very sharp projectiles flying all over the place. I have seen the "curly Q" tailpieces used for attaching tools at the end of the line, break and throw pieces. My choice, if I wanted to run a flexible line, would be to use regular compressor hose.
