pex double up crimps rings

New to pex and not sure I trust it. Im running some 1/2 pex in basement(only in a few places where copper is to difficult to use). Is it possible to double up crimp rings on each fitting for extra security?? or is that over kill? I tried it and both fit. Any thoughts??

As long as you properly crimp your first ring you will be fine. Leave the crimp ring approxmately 1/4" back from the end of the pipe and make sure it's over the barbed portion of the fitting and crimp down. So to answer your question directly, yes two rings is overkill and not needed.

Pex has been used for over 20 years with no problems. Follow manufacturer directions and you will be fine.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
