Pedistal Sink

I just bought a pedistal sink and it does not come with the mounting hardware (bracket) to install it to the wall. Do any pedistal sinks come with brackets, or should I just make one from things at the hardware store? If so what should it look like?

Any ideas or thoughts on this?

Pedistal Sink

The pedestal sink I installed had two holes along the bottom edge at either corner where it attached to the wall. I used wall anchors and screws through the tile and it worked fine.

Pedistal Sink

Really, thats all i need to do? I thought I needed to support the frame behind with extra 2x4's and once drywall was up put on this fancy magical bracket to support the wieght of the sink?

Does your pedistal support most of the weight?

Yes, the pedestal also has holes in it and it is lag-bolted to the floor. The pedestal supports all the weight, the screws in the sink just hold it in place. Not like I jump up and down on it or anything, but we haven't had any problems with it. You might be thinking of a wall-hung sink that has that type of bracket, but as far as I know, it is not needed for a pedestal sink
