Pedestal sink drain replacement?
I need to replace the faucet and drain on a pedestal sink in which the plumbing runs down through the pedestal. While I was easily able to remove the faucet with a standard basin wrench, I can't remove the sink drain because there's not enough space to get the basin wrench claws around the large drain nut. I also tried an adjustable wrench and I'm having the same problem. I also tried a TightSpot wrench and it was too large for the nut.
Is there a special pedestal sink tool that'll let me remove the drain nut without having to rip the whole darn sink out of the wall? :) I'm thinking a basin wrench with smaller pinchers might work, but I've never seen one like that.
Perhaps some Channel Locks?
I'm guessing bowl has to come off the wall but only a guess.
