Outside Water Faucets Turnoff Valve

Hi everyone and thanks for looking at my post. This is my first post here and i'm in desperate need of some help. I recently purchased a house that was built in 2007 but it wasn't completely finished downstairs. I have started to finish off one of the rooms, the laundry room, which is the room that has the main water shut off valve and contained all the exposed pex plumbing. Without realizing that my outside water shutoff valve could be there, I started laying drywall and spackling. Now it's getting colder and I can't find my outside water shutoff valves. I have looked everywhere and was unable to find them. But then I remembered seeing an odd valve before I laid the drywall. After cutting a small hole in the drywall to obtain access to the valve, I discovered that it didn't control the facuets at all. Now I have no idea what this valve is for. I have attached a picture I took of it. Please someone tell me what it is.

Yeah, what Ben said. Also, you should put an access panel in the wall so that can be accessed later if needed.

A house that new most likely has frost free hose bibs---so shutting off the water may not be a big issue--take a picture of your hose bib---someone here will identify it.

There are nice plastic access cover available at any store that sells plumbing supplies.

Outside Water Faucets Turnoff Valve

Thank you everyone for the quick responses. It was indeed the refrigerator ice maker/water hose (but I'm sure you already knew that). I ended up finding the correct valve for the outside faucets it was buried behind some insulation in the ceiling. Luckily I only had to cut two holes in the drywall before I found it. I will post a picture of the hose bibs tomorrow. I still plan on including some type of access panel in the ceiling for the fridge valve and faucet valve. Any tips would be appreciated.
