I have had so many issues with the frost-proof outside faucets that shut the water off inside. The first one just completely failed, so I replaced it with another one (same type). It has been working for a year, but now when I shut it off it still flows out pretty good. Not full throttle, but not no drip either. What can be done to stop or fix this? Any help would be Great!!!
Which make is it? If it is made by Legend, they had a quality issue last year; the stems were faulty. They are easily replaced, call your local Legend rep or supply house for the part. Legend typicaly has a large black rubberized 1/4 turn handle and a bright chrome finish. Also make sure you have no pin hole leaks if you left your hose attached over the winter.
They have washers inside that seal against the seat......
What kind of piping do you have and what kind of water system are you on?
