Outdoor Kitchen and garage faucet plumbing
Hi,
I am building an outdoor kitchen and garage at the same time, I plan to install a sink in the outdoor kitchen and a outdoor faucet for the garage. I have the trench dug and city inspector approved already.
My question is what type of pipe tubing should I run for the sink and faucet. A Home Depot guy recommended PEX - which I don't believe can be buried. I have been told not to use PVC due to the connections, but to use tubing. A master plumber at another Home depot recommended CPVC and that Poly tubing is not allowed for potable water. I don't plan on drinking the water in the sink or faucet but you never know. I read many blogs and sites and everyone has an opinion all of them different, I can't find it in the code. Any ideas.
Just a couple more pieces of info, I don't want need hot water, it will be buried in the garden, not under a driveway or slab, the trench is 24 to 18inch deep, frost line is 24inches, and I plan to blow out the water every winter season and I am based in Virginia.
Many thanks
