Outdoor Electrical Outlet and Propane Regulator

Is there a mandatory separation distance from an outdoor electrical outlet and a propane regulator with manifold?

I've found some separation requirements to fireplace vents, property lines, ac units, and crawlspace doors. What about electrical?

I'm planning to have a propane line ran to the house with a manifold for multiple devices. Spot selected to mount the manifold is near an outdoor electrical outlet with weather proof cover.

The clearances from relief discharge are:

-3' from building openings, appliance vent outlets, and moisture exhaust ducts

-10' from mechanic air intakes, appliance air intakes and sources of ignition (an electrical outlet is a source of ignition)

These are the clearances under the Canadian natural gas and propane installation code. Yours may be different. Your installer should know. If they don't, get a new installer.

Thanks Benny.

I wish it were that easy to find a competent installer. That's why I'm asking.

The previous tank I had installed, by a nationally known propane supplier, was located next to the crawlspace door; there was no three foot separation. The drivers who filled the tank never mentioned it either.
