open cell foam contact with per pipe

Can PEX pipes be sprayed with open cell foams or does it degrade the pipes?

Not going to hurt the tubing but why are you doing it?
I can see if your just doing some air blocking where it's run through a hole.
If your talking about spraying the whole length, why not just use foam pipe insulation, far less expencive and less messy.
