omnifilter whole house water filter stuck


I moved into the house about a year ago and i when i tried to change the filter for the first time the tank was completely stuck. i have used the wrench that came with it and it still does not move. any suggestions on what i could do to get the tank the tank off.

omnifilter whole house water filter stuck


Make sure that you have the water turned off and preasure drained down. If it has the bypass on the top try leaving it online but turning the water supply off to the house and draining the preasure. Another tip is to put some silicone or vasaline on the threads and DONT put it back on with the wrench, just hand tight. that will make it alot easier to take off next time.

removed the filter so that it will change the tank and it might that it will release the leak from the tank..

Only use valve and stem grease.Vasoline is petroleum based and after time can damage plastic and o rings.
