Old Case 1000 Series Toilet

For Any of you that might be familiar with this toilet, was there a special way of plunging these units? or a special plunger?

When you try a standard plunger, it just seems to push water out of the inlet near the base. I can only plunge by using two plungers...one to cover the water inlet hole, and the other to do the actual plunging.

Thanks

Can't say I'd ever seen one, but when plunging a sink with an overflow I use a rag to cover the overflow hole.

Yea that's what it is. She does not want to get rid of it, but using two plungers on it when it stuffs up is a bit hard on her as she has limited use of one hand. Just trying to see if there was a trick to plunging this thing.
