Old all metal backwater valve - Is it still good?

Hi,

I recently discovered a backwater valve in my basement. It is a "normally closed" type valve and it protects all the drains located in the basement (but not the main "column" which goes to the first floor, but this doesn't matter for obvious reasons).

Now, I'm currently in the process of renovating the basement bathroom. Before I level the concrete floor and install the tiles, I was wondering if this backwater valve is still in good shape or if I should replace it. What do you think?

Thanks!

If your county requires backflow prevention with lower level fixtures...
they'll probably also expect remodeling work that would bury it to update it.
If that's the case then there's no question to ask.

Even without such a requirement... I'd want to do that work.
