Ok Way to Connect Washing Machine?

I purchased a new washing machine for my home. I turned off the water at the spigot above the washer and changed out the washer and hoses. Now, the spigot is stuck in the off position (well, the handle broke off once I turned it off). There's a wash tub next to the washer which is oddly connected onto another set of spigots with washing machine hoses.

At this point I have the washer's hot water running over to the wash tub. Is there any way I could I could split the hot water off to both the tub and washer?

I'm thinking a garden hose splitter would actually work, but probably not with hot water going through it.

Thoughts?

I don't have any plumbing experience. The handle turns, but turns forever.
