oil furnace
furnace is for heat and hot water, can i make my hot water heat by electric?
|
As in an electric water heater? Yes, they do exist.

With some minor plumbing changes, of course you can. Assuming you have enough electrical capacity.

Your best bet is a electric water heater, you have to disconnect the piping in and out of your boiler to the new electric water heater, you can install a piping arrangement to do this and still keep your boiler piping in place in case the electric water heater breaks and with the turn of a couple valves you can have a backup. You might have to make an adjustment to the aqua stat control on your boiler.
