off the shelf D/W inlet to sink question
2 Attachment(s)
thanks all I'm getting very close to putting my sink and D/W in I have a question about this little thing here...

the inlet for the D/W has a insert that cuts the diameter of the 1 1/2" pipe in half. Would not this cause a problem? I am leery that this would get clogged easy with stuff from the sink and slow down the flow even unclogged.

is this thing really gonna work ok ? if not what is the best option to make up something better.. THANKS! :)

i'd get one without the baffle in it. Although it probably won't affect your flow any more then a strainer sitting in the drain

We always use them.... if the drain starts to slow down and you don't have a baffle, the dishwasher pump will eject liquid vertically.

The baffle helps to keep the splash down. I prefer the baffle, others might not.

ok got-cha that makes sense I see how it is constructed to prevent that

I threw that away never thinking what it might have been good for! Lucky I guess that I ran the dw drain into the disposer! Thank you for improving my plumbing education!
