Question

???A.O.Smith Water heater problem???

Hello, I have an A.O.Smith natural gas hot water heater. It is sometimes not heating the water to full temp. Nothing wrong with the pilot light but sometimes water will heat up to full temp and sometimes it wont. Is there something wrong with the Natural Gas Valve Assembly? Is the temperature gauge telling the gas valve thats its at full temp sometimes when its not? Any info would help, thanks.

If the pilot isn't going out and it doesn't always heater the water to the sey temperature then it sounds like the gas control valve.
