Question

not using garbage disposal with sink intended for one

i bought this aluminum sink cheap at a recycle 2nd hand place and intend to use it as a mop basin in my shed.

however, it is intended to be used with a garbage disposal, which i am not needing.

so, my question is: how do i adapt this 3" hole to 1.5" or 2" PVC pipe? i have 2" pipe not sticking out of concrete, which i can obviously easily adapt to 1.5".

pics attached.

thanks

Unscrew the disposal adapter and install a sink drain kit:

Some brands of disposer drain fittings require stretching and removing a thin springy C-shaped "ring" to dismount from the bottom of the sink.

Sometimes the parts are "glued" in place and prying them apart can deform the bottom of the sink and make it hard to avoid leaks with the new fittings. Moderate heating with a torch may help.
