noisy pipes

I'm having a problem with my cold water pipes. Whenever i use a large faucet(bath/shower/ water sprinkler) i get a loud humming sound throughout the house. For example, while using the water sprinkler which is attached to the basement, I hear the noise out of my upstairs bathroom three flights up?

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Does this occur while the water is running or just after the water is shut off?

while the water is running. It is so loud it wakes my kids up!!!

The pipes are perfectly quiet when they are shut.

Are these copper pipes or galvanized pipes?

i know some of them are galvanized. It is probable it is a mix of both.

check everywhere you have access and strap em tight. Sounds like vibration from flow with loose pipes

actually the supply pipes are copper.
