no water after cartridge replacement

Hello all,
I replaced several cartridges in the bathroom sinks and 2 in the roman tub faucet. All is well EXCEPT now I get NO water at all out of the HOT side in the tub. It is Price Pfister 2 handle. Cold works great. No water at all from the hot side. Help!

your cartridge may be defective i am a licensed plumber and about 10% of replacement cartridges are defective so i would get one from your local hardware store. im not sure what kind of valve you have but some can be put in backwards.

Did you remove the new cartridge and re install?

Does the Price Fister have different hot and cold cartridges?

my guess you changed a few so you know what your looking at....take that one apart and start to open the shut off slowly see if valve may have clogged by shutting off...might be clogged if not double check cartridge or swap out another ....ben

Thanks guys,
The Price Pfister cartridges are supposed to be Hot or Cold interchangeable. I am sure I put it in correctly. I screwed it in tight and then unassembled it again. When I looked inside the sleeve that the cartridge slides into it seems like something is missing, Weird how could that be? Could a piece have broken off the "sleeve" and fallen in? I guess I should put the old one back in and if I still dont get water, then what? I cannot reach the "guts" unless remove the tile of the tub deck. THanks for responding.

signed,

It would be the tub mixer that's giving you trouble----Tomorrow--call the customer help line for Price phister --most of those technical help lines are very helpful--

Sad for you--I don't like that brand and will not install them---so I've never had to deal with their tec line---Mike---
