No salt water softeners

Are there any no salt ones that work? I've searched online and find mainly the following: Scalewatcher; GMX; Safe Water; Lifesource.

Some use ionization processes with electic current and some use magnets. The magnet ones seem less likely to work.

Any resources or help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello dchamf,

To answer your question, yes there are. In todays water filtration demand there are many intrest in chemical free/no salt water filtration systems. Within my 25+ years experience in water filtration still today I cannot prove to you that "magnetic" systems work. So my recommendation to you is to stay away from the whole "magnetic gimic". My recommendation for you for a chemical free system would have to be Filtration Worlds Maxi-cure, which uses no chemicals, salts, potassiums, ect. The maxi-cure doesnt completly remove certain elements in your water (calcium) but greatly reduces them. In my time of installing these systems it seems they prove to be the 2nd best when it comes down from water softeners.

Hope that helped with your question.
