No hot water flow

What would cause an air bubble or something like that that would stop the water flow between the the hot water heater and all the hot water faucets in three bathrooms? They are in a row on one side of the house. It has happened about four times recently. After about an hour the water is flowing normally. It is summertime, and the house is air conditioned and is set to about 75 degrees.
Any ideas?

Ayuh,... I guess I'd be lookin' at the heater, if it's the common connection between the system...
A Bubble can't stop the water flow, as it would be pushed to the faucets..

Do you get hot water anywhere, such as in the kitchen?

How old is the house?
States can help recovery from hurricanes and tornadoes by not requiring due digence or prompt and timely correction of substandard conditions, and by providing continued liability insurance where companies drop homeowners.

How old is your home ?
It may be time for a re-pipe.
Try taking the hot supply line off a faucet and then spray it in a bucket .
This will tell you if the blockage is in the faucet or in the valve or plumbing below the floor.
