No hot water

I did replace the kitchen faucet cartridge ( Moen Part 1225 ) for a friend 2 days ago ( done some plumbing before ), when done I tested for leaks and pressure as usual, everything was OK. Two days later, she informed me that no hot water is coming from that kitchen faucet but there is hot water everywhere else. I did check the shut off valves under the sink and they are open, the pressure is fine on both sides except for cold water coming in the hot position. The hot water line under the sink is now COLD to the touch and that was not the case when I was done repalcing the cartridge.

No hot water

possibly the dip stick in the water heater is broken. it is the plastic pipe that takes cold water from the inlet to the bottom of the heater for heating so that hot water goes on top.

No hot water

Thanks for your help, but she has hot water throughout the rest of the house, it's just the kitchen faucet that does not.

No hot water

Could it be that the kitchen is the farthest from the water heater and she's just not lett'n it run long enough? Could some crud possibly have gotten in the hot water supply line/blocking the flow? I'm just guessin, trying to help.

You didn't say if you had hot water when you changed the cartridge. Perhaps the cartridge is backwards?

Thanks everybody for your help. There was hot water and good pressure before the pressure is still good except for no hot water and the cartridge is not reverse. As I mentioned, even the hot water line under the sink is now COLD to the touch and before was not. That is a good indicator to isolate the cartridge as the source.
