no access to shower/tub plumbing

i am doing a new bathroom. Somehow, the situation now is where the plumbing would be will be in a dead corner: i will have to put on all the water lines before i can stablize the fixtures; also, if ever there is something wrong in the plumbing, i will have to rip out the tiling and wall around the tub to access the fixtures.

My question is:

is it ok to proceed like this?

or, should i change a tub (left hand to right hand)and make the changes now as all the walls are open now?

thx

Sounds like an easy decision to me. Option B.

Your valve will eventually need attention. Putting it in a location that will require major demolition of tile, or an exterior wall is the worst idea, unless you literally have no other options.

Perhaps not in your lifetime, but SOMEDAY. . . make it easy for yourself later on......

This is a good topic to debate. As a plumber I would prefer to be able to access all plumbing with minimal effort. With that being said, I also understand that when I install most plumbing, it should last for a long time, I'm talking decades. So, when I talk to other plumbers, and homeowners I will bring up how long it should last, and generally proceed to do what makes the most finacial sense for the install.
I guess what I am saying to you is. If you can afford to do the extra work, and it does not effect what you want then go for it. If it will push you beyond a finacial breaking point, or you would'nt like the new look, then go with the easier install.

Keep in mind what kind of valve you're going to put where you cant access it. :whistling2:
