See....Mike made me do it.....

Ok...so the real question here....best way to do a shower?

The way I see it....3 options...hot mop, membrain, Kerdi.

Some of the shower install instructions I saw showed green board being used...then hardi backer on top of that...others, just hardi backer.

On the Kerdi instructions, they show their stuff going on top of green board.....

At this point....I'm leaning towards Kerdi....the pre-cut pans will not work for me...but they have the rolls of the same stuff that you can cut to shape....hence, I'm thinking standard mortar base....hardi backer down the walls...Kerdi material on the bottom and sides...

Or...same as above but rubber membrain for the pan.

The Kerdi looks to be less labor...but more expensive....my time is free....but I only want to do it once...

So...which is it?
