New valves and still leaking!

Hey all, I am trying to fix a leak in my shower coming from the cold water side. When it started you could turn the knob really hard and it would stop but a few weeks later it wouldn't stop it anymore so I replaced the washers but it still leaked so I bought three brand new valves but it is still coming out of the faucet. Any ideas? I bought price phister or whatever and that's what the faucet says on it. Thanks!

When you say valves do you mean stems? if the seats are bad in the valve body the water goes right past the new washers.

Are the seats replaceable? Look in there and see if the hole is hexagon shaped. If it is the seats are replaceable. They used to make seat dressers too, but their use was touch and go.

I replaced the entire assembly behind the knob and the little brass thing in the back that has a square hole in it. Only replaced the square hole thing on the cold water side.
