New tub

I have a fairly stupid question..my inlaws bought a cheapo tub (30x60 )at home depot for like 100 bucks for their condo-I am measuring the width wall to wall at 58-1/2 with 1/2" rock either side thats 59-1/2 rough opening.. so I guess my question is since its a small bathroom (58-1/2 wide and 7' long) and of course the tub sits against the back wall will this be do-able or is there tubs 59".if it is do-able does anyone have any tricks

No tricks , sounds like some cutting of sheet rock will have to be done with patching. Maybe someone else has a trick or two. Good Luck.

You must strip the wall down to the studs for tub installation.
If there was an old tub before, then you should have plenty of clearance for a new one.
