I'm planning to install a toilet in the basement.
I have digged the basement floor and here is how the piping looks like inside the floor ( please see image ).
The image shows the location of the new toilet and the proposed venting.
To my surprise the pipes do not go very deep underneath the basement floor,
so they are "almost" horizontally with the default slope of 1/4 inch per foot.
Would my proposed installation work ( please see attachement ). I'm concerned that the toilet would not have a lot of vertical run.
If something is not clear in the drawing please ask me.
Everything is right, 1/4" per foot fall is what you want. If you go any further, your water will beat your turd down the drain to sewer. (That's a term us plumber's use) It's true though, you don't want anymore fall on the drain or you'll eventually have a clogs.
