new spigot line

I am running a new water spigot line on exterior wall about 30 ft long. I was wondering if i should use 1/2in copper or galvanized pipe. It gets about low 20s most of the winters. But it has gotten as low as 0. I live in north west az. I will be insulating with armaflex.

If PEX is allowed in your area--use that--and use a shut off with a drain--(ball valve--stop and drain)

And blow out the pipe in the winter.

PEX has the best freeze/burst resistance of any of the commonly available piping.
