New plumbing..Old House

Hi all, I am planning on doing a bathroom renovation and I have to redo the plumbing because it all runs in same line as sump pump water backs up into bathroom sink big pain. I will be adding shower/tub another sink and want to redo pipes from kitchen and sump so I can run seperate lines. This picture is what I have now for an outlet I would like to change to pvc with multiple outlets. Plumbing 123 I know I just dont know wheres a good place to convert the cast iron to plastic. I have seen the connections to do it I just dont know if I should do it on the flat run or on the vertical run?

Thanks Shawn

you are taking on a good size project....I would connect on the verticial as low as possible maybe just 3-4 inches above 90 exiting house....keep in mind the adding fixtures and vents....very important....permits & inpsections?
