NEw plumbing fro washer

I am planning on build a new laundry room off first floor...I want to move washer up to this level. Any ideas on how to plumb this out completely? it will be installed directly in front of kitchen sink on outside wall. the existing plumbing for machine in basment just dumps into the floor...no stack connecting the washer and kitchen sink....i dont even know if the vent pipe is still intact. It sticks out from roof above this location but some one did some shotty plumbing in this house..so basically i want to tie the kitchen sink and laundry into one drain going into basment floor from first floor...

Need more info. Please ask specific questions such as "How do I know if the vent stack is connected?"

How old is the home? Why do you think the vent may not be connected? Pictures.

Are you starting the laundry room from scratch? Type of construction?

the house is about 90 years old.

the vent is capped in basement and in the wall under kitchen sink.
