New fiberglass tub uses OSB?

This new fiberglass tub has " OSB built in along the bottom at the proper slant.
Is this OK for me to just run 2x4 frame under it? It seems more than strong enough from standing in it, but should I still 'box in' my frame and add mortar?
Our old tub has (believe it or not) simply a styrofoam block under it! It sags all over when you're in it and has a repaired crack at the drain....lol

Thanks!

unless the instructions say otherwise, I always put a mortar base under tubs and showers. No other wood is needed unless you want to build up the floor to save on mortar.

New fiberglass tub uses OSB?

Don't be a smart alec. If I build a solid frame under it, I see no need to put mortar under it.
Anything wrong with this?

@ Proby, no I don't mortar cast iron. It won't creak like fiberglass
@ DM, IMO, most fiberglas tub bases should have mortar. It not only adds support, it keeps them from creaking and popping.

New fiberglass tub uses OSB?

Just an update, the tub has been performing just fine these past months.
It's solid as a rock with the frame I put under it....
.....but I DID add shaped 2x4s up front where the OSB didn't quite make it to avoid any possible problems.
