need product advice


help please! need to pick bathroom products and soon kitchen products before the plumber gets here. really unsure what the heck the big difference is between Aker and Kohler and etc. such big price difference but they all look similar. have already been warned to avoid glacierbay products. is there a site that gives reviews? i have searched and searched.

Your question is too vague. Are you lookin for sink faucets, tub faucets, sink, tub, toilet?

I dunno about particular brands, but generally when things look similar but have big price differences, the difference is the quality of materials. An expensive faucet will be chrome-plated solid brass while a cheap one will be chrome-look plastic. The cheap one will have a valve with rubber washers or plastic o-rings that need replacement relatively soon (or worse, have one where the o-rings aren't replaceable so the whole faucet wears out); the expensive one will have a ceramic cartridge valve that lasts forever.
