Natural Gas Line for BBQ

I have a gas line that is coming out of the back of my house that is capped. I want to have this attached to a natural gas bbq grill but not sure what fitting to put on.

Is this a difficult project or something out of the scope of an average handy guy.?

Thanks!

If you already have (or will buy) a NG appliance...
then it shouldn't be more involved than connecting a stove or dryer would be, except:
1) you need a valve ahead of anything you connect.
2) you need a valve in close proximity to the appliance.
3) all the plumbing/gas code rules about materials, sizes and securing everything (including the BBQ) still apply.

Just wanted to clarify that the gas line that is coming out of the wall does not have any valves. It just is the gas pipe and has a cap on it.

You can get BBQ boxes for this. They are basically a quick disconnect with a shutoff.
