mysterious leak

We are on a slab and do have a septic system...we had it pumped in 2009 and then again in 2010...we thought perhaps we had a tub leak since water would come out from under the tub, under the adjoining wall into the master bath...we ripped out the vanity in the master bath under the advice of a plumber to better see the tub valve...the vanity fell apart and there were signs of black mold...after determining it wasn't the tub valve we went ahead with the afore mentioned pumping of the septic in 2010 and the problem subsided for a bit...recently our master bath floods when we fill the tub or run the washer...toilets are flushing as they should and no signs of a septic issue...we noticed the master toilet was in need of a new wax seal and replaced it as well as the phlange...leak has lessened but is still present and for the past couple days I hear running water when nothing is on and found standing water in the backyard and water coming out of what looks like an exterior pipe near the house...we are a single income family and on a tight budget...what can we do...

Your post is somewhat hard to follow, but you may have a few problems. If you hear running water when nothing is on, that may indicate you have a water line leak under the slab. It would be more easily detected by leak detection equipment or an infrared camera. Or it could just be a problem with the fill valve or flapper in the toilet.

When was the house built?
Can you post a picture of the exterior pipe you're referring to and the standing water?
Do you have a french/perimeter drain around the house?
Why did you have the tank pumped in 2009 and in 2010?
When the tank was pumped, did the pumping company disclose any known problems? Upcoming maintenance issues, problems with inlet or outlet baffles, etc.?
What do you mean "the bathtub floods when we fill the tub"? You mean it won't drain or drains slowly?

If I'm picturing things correctly; you have a partial blockage somewhere in the main septic line between the house and the tank, which won't allow a high volume of water through. When the line is subjected to a large amount of water it has no place to go. Thus, follows the path of least resistance. An open cleanout (missing cap) in the yard is spilling wastewater, leaks from the toilet are because the back-up has broken the wax seal.
