My bathroom shower??? Help

I have a shower that is 3 by 5 and the shower drain is in one side so I pored concrete in the shower and sloped it all towards the drain pipe. "I did not cut the pipe it sticks out like a foot.". I wrapped the whole shower in orange membrane an then tiled shower without cutting the drain pipe. Was wondering if I could just sawzal the pipe and pipe in a snap drain in? Can someone help me plz

My bathroom shower??? Help

Doesn't sound like you did enough research before you started your shower project, you didn't mention preslope, membrane and then the shower concrete floor.

When done correctly (membrane laid on the preslope) the drain has weep holes which allow drainage out of the shower floor before you do damage to the understructure as tile and grout is far from water tight.

The drain would be an intregral part of the preslope and membrane.

But like other said post some pic's

My bathroom shower??? Help

He mentioned orange membrane (schleuter) which could work in his favour. Depending on the drain he has.

My bathroom shower??? Help

I didn't use a pre slope because it is a custom shower where it wouldn't fit, I sloped concrete and now I have to put membrane on and tile on, all I need to know is if a snap drain works good

My bathroom shower??? Help

Ryan,

Get out your hammer and chisel and start digging some concrete out around the drain pipe. What it appears you have done isn't going to work. Dig out about a 14" diameter hole around the drain pipe.

Pictures!!! You said you would post pictures.
