moving vent pipe in roof

Hi Folks,

We're having our roof replaced next week, and I was hoping to move the vent pipe to the back side of the ridge so that it is not so visible from the street. In the attic, it currently comes out of one of the interior walls and runs straight up through the roof. I would be moving it about 15'. There's plenty of space in the attic to reroute the pipe, so as long as I maintain an upward slope towards the roof if there any reason why I can't do this? How high does the pipe need to be above the roof?

Thank you.

You should be fine. Maintain grade on the pipe and extend a minimum 6" above the roof. I prefer 12" for our local snow load.
If using plastic, support it horizontally at 4ft intervals and at each end. Be carefull that you don't get near windows, doors, air intakes, etc. Don't want that smell coming back inside

Thank for your advice. That's what I was hoping to hear.
