This is likely a question for those in Houston, TX
I want to move a kitchen sink from an east wall to adjacent north wall. It is currently under a pass-through window.
If moved, it would be three or four feet from the drain.
I am told by some that Houston city code will not allow the sink to be that far from the drain. I pulled the plumbing code I found online, and nothing was said about distance, that I found.
Would anyone here know if I can move the sink?
I am doing the work, no contractors are involved.
Army Ranger Standing Order #1:
"Don't forget nothing."
Is there open space below?? The longer the horizontal run of drain pipe, the greater the chance for a blockage in that run. Especially bad if you go around a corner. If you can go down to pick up a drain line, and maybe add a cleanout, it would be better. But it still has to meet local code.
