moving copper water line?

I have to move my cooper water line over one stud. How flexible is copper?
Is this something I should attempt myself? Thanks in advance.

Call up your handiest neighbor or friend and ask them to identify exactly what this is... *especially* to include what (and how) it's attached to at each end.

I should have mentioned it's the water line for the fridge/ice machine.

Yeah.

It's a minor job to disconnect the tubing from each end and then re-route the tubing to where you want to have it. You may even be able to reuse the tubing if the distance is the same or less. Be careful to not kink the tubing when handling the soft copper tubing.

At the source... the copper is *probably* attached to a saddle valve.
These things are the spawn of the devil and should be eradicated.
Removing the saddle valve and then replacing it might be more than you can do yourself.

I guess I should have looked further into this before posting my question.
The tube begins at the hot water tank and goes up the wall, through the ceiling and then down as shown in the picture. I just have to move it over to the right between the next two studs. how flexible is the tubing? If I don't kink it I should be alright? Worse case, I can turn it off at the water tank.

Always plan for the worst case.
That is why there are valves.

Always use certified trained professionals please. You would not want any insurance issues if there is a deficiency. Plus us plumbers need to eat to cheers

Hope i'm not too late, but i'd definitely turn it off before attempting to move it.
