Moving the Bathroom

I'd like to move my bathroom to the other side of the house. The house in question used to be my father's, and I remember him telling me years ago that when he went to undergo this same project, the carpenter told him it was impossible because there was not enough room to pitch the pipe correctly from the toilet. I have not ripped anything apart yet to see what exactly is happening down there, but the assessment is most likely correct because I'd want to move the toilet about 20 feet farther away from the exterior wall than it is right now. I'm wondering if there are any possible solutions to this problem. Is there a pump I can put in to make up the difference in elevation? Anything I can do at all?
