To move or not move the kitchen sink

Hi,
I am completely renovating a small studio apartment which is empty right now to live in myself. I may rent it again in the future but not before 5 years.

It's a 40 year old triplex. Currently, the layout of the kitchen has the stove on one wall and the sink directly across on the other wall. Both of these walls are interior walls shared with 2 other apartments. I would like to change the layout and move the sink to the same wall where the stove is. I would like to know if this is a good idea or not. The new location of the sink would be perpendicular to the wall of the bathroom. Would I need a new vent going through the roof or can it be hooked up to the original vent across the room. What type of issues could I be facing? Is it not worth the headaches this can cause? Would tapping into the bathroom water lines or vent cause issues? Any info would be greatly appreciated! The location is Quebec, Canada. Thanks. The original pipes are cast iron.
