Question

Mold in Sink Drain Around Stop

We have mold in our bathroom sinks, especially around the stops. I pulled the stops out and cleaned the mold off, and soaked them in bleach/water to clean them. I also poured bleach in the sink and let it sit in the trap. This seems to me to only be killing anything down in the trap, not the growth at the sink stop.

Is there a way to kill the mold and growth at the stop at the sink? Any other suggestions?
